Mid-December 2023 I decided that 2024 was going to be the year that I put my music where my mouth was and not only release something, but release something every month. To start off, I gave myself a challenge that I would write a song, record it, and get it out the door in less than a month and a half. That's nearly the fastest I've ever turned around a music project, and I'm excited to share the results. The outcome is "I'm Back" (the first song I wrote upon turning 30), a kinda corny but utterly sincere piece about trying to pull out of the corner of The Void where creativity is tamped down by exhaustion, life feels like it's a matter of survival, and nothing short of utter resolve and the grace of God could possibly get you out.

Well, I'm ready to get out.

This is the first of the 12 releases I'm working to put out this year. All of them can be found at kennethmalott.bandcamp.com or on my website. Many are collaborations with friends, bands or other projects, so that's the best place to see what I'm doing. I'm back, hopefully to stay.
